About Hiralal

Hiralal and Company was originally established in 1925 and is the oldest agency in the West Coast of India being in the field of steamer agency for over 8 decades.

The firm started handling iron ore vessels from Mormugao port as early as 1950 when the exports to Japan commenced and has decades old relationship with Japanese carriers such as Mitsui OSK Lines, KLINE, Sanko Steamship ,Daiichi.

To guarantee Ship Owners a smooth hassle free turnaround of vessels using our ground knowledge, local expertise and steadfast services.

THE Beginning

Late Shri Hiralal Chunilal Thakker with his wife and family came down to Goa from Dholera in Gujarat in 1928 and started on a very modest scale, business as coconut merchants. As a coconut merchant , he used to purchase coconuts from prominent landlords of Goa for export to the then province of Bombay.

Our Founders

Nagindas Thakker was Vice President of Goa Chamber and Industry and well Goa cancer Society and Goa Hindu Association.

Sunderlal Thakker was a Trustee on the board of Mormugao Port Trust for nine consecutive years from 1992 to 2001. He was also a trustee of Dock Labour Board of the Port.

Jadhubhai Thakker was the third founding partner of the company.
